1978

The company was established as GIFAS-Electric, Gröninger & Nick GmbH; incorporation into commercial register. The first managing director is Mr. Casimir Platzer.

1979

We entered the market with our products. The first business residence was located at the Kirchstrasse 11 in Rorschach.

1980

The company moved into a larger building to the Schulstrasse 1 in Goldach.

1983

In July the young company moved into their own enterprise building (1’300 m² useful area) to the Dietrichstrasse 2 in Rheineck.

1983

Mr. Edwin Halser becomes Managing Director.

1986

The first building extension is ready for move-in. 3'100 m² useful area / total 27 employees.

1991

We reach a first economical height, which lasts for a long time (total 56 employees).

1992

Second building extension is ready for move-in (5'700 m² total area for now totally 54 employees).

1996

All time-low number of employees 52 -  in the difficult economical phase 1992 – 1996.

2000

The Millennium is our record year: total of 66 employees.

2002

Once again a successful increase of our business activities. A further building extension is decided.

2003

We celebrate our 25-year anniversary. The third extension of our building is ready for move-in; useful area of more than 6’500 m². Our personnel comprise 65 employees.

2005

We raise the personnel to 75 employees.

2007

Our first order for Middle East of totally 140 underfloor distributor systems. Implementation of the working light and the emergency light StarLED, our successful own production, based on the latest LED technology. End of October is dedicated the 4th building expansion, wherewith especially the production area could be increased.
